Pain Relief
Pain is something that plagues millions of people in the USA every minute of every day!
Osteoarthritis, rheumatism, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, lower back or neck pain and a plethora of others than can make life difficult and make just getting up in the morning a real challenge. Well, it does not have to be that way any longer. Sunlighten Full Spectrum Infrared Saunas are scientifically proven aid in pain relief, and they may be able to make you feel better. See below for just a few of the researched articles proving this technology works!
In a 2006 double-blind, placebo-controlled study in the Journal of Pain Research and Management, researchers found that infrared heat therapy was able to reduce chronic low back pain by 50 percent over seven weeks, with zero negative side effects. Participants were asked to rate their overall pain without movement, as well as pain during various movement postures such as bending forward, back, right and left, and rotating the spine. All measures of pain were reduced approximately in half and showed the greatest reduction toward the end of the seven-week period. This suggests that continuing treatment beyond seven weeks may lead to even greater pain reduction, which is what I have discovered anecdotally with patients at my wellness center. The results of this study were highly significant (P with the placebo group. (4)
One study, in the journal Internal Medicine, showed that chronic pain patients experienced a significant reduction in pain levels (nearly 70%) after the first session of infrared sauna therapy. Let me repeat that for you! The FIRST SESSION! Pain scores also decreased significantly and remained low throughout the observation period. Researchers concluded that infrared heat therapy is effective for chronic pain treatment. (1)
Additionally, in a NASA study done by Dr. Whelan with near-infrared heat, the lead investigator and his fellow researchers determined that LED technology allows for deep penetration of tissue and increased cell growth from the inside. (2) Sunlighten’s mPulse series–with its proprietary Solocarbon® Custom Spectrum™ heating technology–is the only sauna on the market that offers LED-based near infrared heat at this proven level.
Finally, a 2003 study conducted by the Department of Dermatology and Institute of Medical Research showed that use of near-infrared heat therapy helped the production of white blood cells to alleviate inflammation and reduce swelling, two key factors in easing bodily pain. (3) Swelling, as new and emerging research is suggesting, is hugely powerful in both pain levels and healing from injuries producing pain. Again, keep in mind that only mPulse’s heating technology is scientifically proven to deliver these types and levels of therapeutic near-infrared wavelengths.
